Getting Started with Nutan

Install Nutan, complete onboarding, and run your first meeting with AI-powered intelligence.

Welcome to Nutan

Nutan is a desktop application that gives sales teams real-time intelligence — before, during, and after every call. Everything runs on your device. No bots join your meetings. No audio leaves your computer.

Step 1 — Download and Install

Download Nutan for macOS from the link in your invite email. Open the downloaded installer and drag Nutan to your Applications folder. Launch Nutan from your Applications folder or Spotlight.

Nutan requires macOS 12 (Monterey) or later.

Step 2 — Create Your Account

When you first launch Nutan, you'll be guided through a simple onboarding flow:

  1. Sign in — Click "Get Started" to sign in with your work email via Google. Nutan uses enterprise-grade authentication.
  2. Your name — Enter your first and last name so Nutan can personalize your experience.
  3. Your role — Select your role: Account Executive, SDR/BDR, Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Customer Success, or Revenue Operations. This helps Nutan tailor intelligence to how you work.
  4. Company name — Enter your company name. Nutan auto-provisions your company workspace on first login.

Step 3 — Connect Your Tools

After the basics, Nutan walks you through connecting your existing tools:

  1. CRM — Connect Salesforce or HubSpot to pull in your deals and contacts. Nutan reads your pipeline data and enriches it with meeting intelligence.
  2. Email — Connect Gmail so Nutan can draft and send follow-ups directly from the app.
  3. Calendar — Connect Google Calendar so Nutan knows when your meetings are and can prepare briefings.

Each connection opens your browser for a secure OAuth flow. You'll authorize Nutan with your provider, and tokens are stored securely in your operating system's keychain — never in plain text.

Step 4 — Upload Your Knowledge

  1. Knowledge base — Upload your company playbooks, battle cards, objection handling guides, and any other sales collateral. Nutan accepts PDF, Word, PowerPoint, text, Markdown, and CSV files. This knowledge powers real-time coaching suggestions during your calls.

Step 5 — Choose Your Sync Preference

  1. Cloud sync — Decide whether to enable cloud sync. With sync on, your intelligence data is encrypted and synced across devices. With sync off, everything stays on this device only.

Step 6 — You're Ready

That's it. Nutan will show your morning briefing with deal updates, upcoming meetings, and action items that need attention. Join your next call and Nutan starts working — capturing audio locally, transcribing in real time, and surfacing coaching suggestions.

What Happens Next

  • Before calls: Nutan prepares a briefing with deal context, stakeholder history, and suggested talking points.
  • During calls: Real-time transcription, objection detection, and coaching suggestions appear in the sidebar.
  • After calls: Nutan generates a summary, extracts action items, updates deal signals, and drafts follow-up emails.

All of this happens on your device. Your CRM gets updated only when you choose to sync.
