What Is the Knowledge Base?

The knowledge base is your personal library of sales materials that Nutan uses to power real-time coaching, generate responses, and provide context during deals. The better your knowledge base, the smarter Nutan becomes.

Supported File Types

Upload any of the following formats:

  • PDF — Playbooks, case studies, product docs
  • Word (.docx) — Battle cards, scripts, guides
  • PowerPoint (.pptx) — Sales decks, training materials
  • Text (.txt) — Quick reference notes
  • Markdown (.md) — Structured content
  • CSV (.csv) — Pricing tables, comparison matrices

How to Upload

During Onboarding

Step 8 of the onboarding flow prompts you to upload your initial knowledge. Drag files into the upload area or click to browse. You can upload multiple files at once.

After Onboarding

Go to Knowledge in the sidebar navigation. Click "Add" to upload new files at any time.

How Knowledge Is Used

  1. Real-time coaching — During calls, Nutan matches the conversation against your knowledge base to surface relevant suggestions.
  2. Deal chat — When you ask questions about deals, Nutan can reference your materials for context.
  3. Email drafts — Follow-up emails incorporate relevant positioning from your playbooks.

Privacy

Your knowledge base is stored locally on your device. Documents are indexed on-device for fast retrieval. If cloud sync is enabled, knowledge items sync encrypted between your devices — but they are never accessible to Nutan's servers in readable form.
